Exhibition identity and posters for SAIC's Wellness Center exhibition & events.

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Wellness Center provides students access to medical, mental health, disability, learning and health education professionals. It also encourages artwork as a type of therapy. Each year they curate an exhibition exploring topics in relation to compassion and organize events in conjunction with the exhibition.

Curated by our longtime collaborator Vidisha Aggarwal, and April Knighton - 'With/in' reflects on the intersection of compassion and belonging. It highlights and examines how a sense of belonging can be fostered through the practice of compassion.

Along with their annual compassion show, the Wellness Center also organizes performances, talks, panels, and more to support students.

The identity is based on the duality of the title, and the two themes that are being explored. It is meant to reflect the various scales at which these themes are explored - through the self, the other, and the others. While the form of a circle itself represents a community, the varying transparencies within reflect the openness of the community and its capacity for inclusivity.
